Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a treatment designed to help relieve depression and prevent future depressive episodes. This 
treatment combines aspects of traditional CBT therapy and the practice of mindfulness.  Through mindfulness, clients learn to cultivate a sense of
curiosity and awareness of their inner experience. This awareness allows clients to more easily:
 
  • Recognize destructive thinking patterns more quickly
  • Relate to their thoughts in a clearer and more compassionate way
  • Learn to live in the present moment
